Colleagues,
Our strike on 8/2 was magnificent! There were thousands of strikers in the 4 call centers (Teleperformance, Webhelp, TTEC, Foundever)!
Hundreds of colleagues organized the strike on their own in their department!
Hundreds of colleagues became members of our union during these days!
And even more who told us that “in the next strike I will join you”!
On the next day of the strike, a letter of formal notice was served to TTEC (among others) with a new invitation to negotiate on the basis of our demands. We have yet to receive any response from the company!
At TTEC, workers are experiencing the same problems as in other call centres, intensification is part of our daily routine!
With team leaders asking us for overtime every day, with the fact that we are not given the days of leave we are entitled to, resulting in us working straight time for months or being forced to work overtime to get our days of leave.
As if all this wasn’t enough, we are under pressure from the constant monitoring of the company, culminating in whoever doesn’t reach the targets being put on a “performance improvement plan” where if they don’t reach the targets they are driven to being laid off!!!
We do not accept to become slaves for their profits! We want a life and work with dignity!
Colleagues, they are afraid of us! It is no coincidence that on the day of the strike, when thousands of us in the call centers went on strike and took to the streets, TTEC decided to change the way bonuses are awarded to make it easier to meet targets!
We seem to have caught their attention, we need to keep fighting for us and give them a strong answer so they understand that we are not accepting the crumbs they give us but demand better pay and working conditions.
We are calling for :
- New 24-hour strike from Monday 19/02 07.00 to Tuesday 07.00am at Teleperformance, Webhelp, TTEC, Foundever and Cosmote E-value.
- Those of us on strike, whether we work from home or in the buildings, will meet in front of TTEC’s headquarters at Lagoumitzi 40 at 8am. From there we go at 12pm to the Ministry of Labour to demand a solution to our demands.
- Protest at the Ministry of Immigration on Friday 16/2 to demand a solution to the visa issue for all our colleagues working under this regime.
Our demands:
- Abolition of the “performance improvement plan”, which is a means of pressure on us for the company to achieve targets.
- No dismissals of any colleague.
- Immediate approval of the workers’ leave requests.
- Break of one hour break based on the prescribed regulation for working with monitors. Excluding breaks for personal needs (toilet, etc.).
- 20 % increase in monthly salary for all.
- Unhealthy working allowance of 15% for working with headsets.
- Foreign language allowance 10% for each language with recognition of the diplomas of all languages the employee has, including the mother tongue, if different from Greek.
- Automatic wage adjustment based on the growth index for basic consumer goods.
- Work visas for all non-EU colleagues. Immediate abolition of the modern slavery regime of the “special purpose visa”.
- Work 5 days-7 hours a day-35 hours a week.
- Protection of young mothers and people with health problems.
All together in the struggle! No one is alone!
We join our voices with the workers from the other call centres and we go on!
