1. In the past few days we have received complaints from colleagues that the employers Befon, Megatel and Megafon (which are subsidiaries of the former) have not paid their employees for the month of April.

Our colleagues had made complaints to the Labour Inspection as, among other things, the employer and its representatives had disappeared and did not respond to whether and when the salary owed would be paid.

The intervention of our Trade Union was immediate, asking for all colleagues to be paid within the day and for a commitment that the payment of the salary will not be delayed again, which we will also monitor in the coming period. At the same time, our union stands by every colleague who decides to denounce the employers’ arbitrariness, supporting them in every way possible. No worker in the industry is alone!

  1. The accrued wages of the colleagues were paid within a few hours. It is proven once again that only organised collective action, together with colleagues from the rest of the sector, with our sectoral union, the SETIP, can stop the arbitrariness of any employer. We call on all colleagues at Befon, Megatel and Megafon to come together and organise themselves in their sectoral union, the SETIP. To collectively discuss and agree on a plan of action, to raise a shield together to defend our rights and claim our modern needs. We have experience from the mobilisations in call centres, Teleperformance, Webhelp, etc., we have seen in practice that our struggle can have an effect. This experience can inspire and give momentum to other workers in the sector for new struggles.

Every union member, every worker in the industry should get in touch with SETIP, to highlight and fight for every small and big problem in our workplaces! To let nothing go to waste!
