Dear colleagues,

The Union of Workers in Telecommunications and IT of Athens (SETIP), member of PAME and WFTU, expresses its militant support and solidarity to your struggle against racism and poverty of people for the profits of capitalists. Those are the policies that both Republicans and Democratics defend with consistency.

The big demonstrations against class and racial discriminations, show that this struggle is directly connected to the fight against poverty and exploitation.

The multinationals in order to ensure their profits don’t even care for human lives. Τhis is proved by the hundreds of thousands dead people due to  coronovirus, the millions of unemployed. In our sector, the Greek government of Nea Dimokratia, the capitalists and the political parties that support them, took advantage of the pandemic and voted series of anti-workers measures for the profitability of the monopolies in Greece.

Dear colleagues,

We face a common enemy. This enemy is the system οf exploitation, capitalism. It is the exploitation of human by other human, that causes poverty, unemployment, wars, exile, cultivates racism, nationalism and fascism.

The last few word of George Floyd “ I can’t breath”, became a slogan at  the mobilizations of workers and students here in Greece. It shows in the most characteristic way that this system of exploitation makes us suffocate.

Υour voice is ours too. Through the General Assembly of our Union, we expressed our solidarity to your  fight against racism, poverty and the repressive forces facing  people who are being mobilized as enemy.

Our Union, based on the values of internationalism and solidarity, has held international meetings. We believe that this kind of initiatives, can improve workers’ Union organization in each country.

it would be important for us to establish communication with you, exchange information for the situation in our countries.

We can communicate through Skype or any other similar way.

With militant regards.
